Brazil Games Accelerator selects and highlights the country’s most promising emerging studios. More than an acceleration program, we are a showcase connecting the best of Brazilian game development to the global market.

An accelerator for Brazilian game development studios seeking:

- Preparation for a new level of internationalization.

Your Journey:
The program is divided into three progressive phases. Progression is based on criteria such as engagement, technical evaluation, commercial potential, and alignment with internationalization objectives.

GATE 1 - STUDIO POTENTIAL
Selection of 40 studios based on impact potential, business maturity, and international goals.
Criteria: potential impact of the accelerator on the company’s development, degree of business maturity, and suitability for internationalization objectives.
Prerequisite: formally registered game studios with a Brazilian CNPJ (including MEI).
February & March
STAGE 1 - BUSINESS PLANNING
Development of strategic business planning.
Strategic business development, management training, and 1-on-1 mentoring.
Networking and collaboration with other studios. Visibility opportunities.
March
GATE 2 - PRODUCT POTENTIAL
Evaluation committee to select 20 studios from among the participants of STAGE 1.
Criteria: engagement in the accelerator, technical capacity, commercial and cultural impact potential of the studios’ intellectual properties, and degree of innovation of the proposed/realized products.
Prerequisite: original game of own IP in Vertical Slice or Playable Demo stage.
April to June
STAGE 2 - PRODUCT VALIDATION
Professional product analysis and testing.
Commercial viability studies and market research reports.
Specialized mentoring and consulting.
Training sessions on player experience (UX) and market trends.
Connecting with the gamedev community.
June
GATE 3 - INTERNATIONALIZATION POTENTIAL
Evaluation committee to select 10 studios from the Stage 2 participants.
Criteria: Engagement with the accelerator, commercial return potential of games in development, and investment attraction potential.
Prerequisite: Pitch deck for equity investment or an original Intellectual Property (IP) game scheduled for release in 2027/28.
July to October
STAGE 3 - INVESTMENT FUNDRAISING AND INTERNATIONAL PUBLISHING
Customized strategies for resource allocation and investment fundraising.
Advanced training with international experts.
Preparation and validation of pitch decks and presentation techniques.
Access to a network of international investors and publishers.
Participation in international events and business representation.
Visibility initiatives and international PR leveraging.

The Brazil Games Accelerator is an accelerator aimed at internationalizing Brazilian digital game studios. Created in partnership with Abragames and ApexBrasil, we offer an advanced 9-month program focused on providing specialized services to accelerated studios, such as international mentoring, expert consulting, workshops, access to investors, production of technical reports, playtesting services, and participation in international events.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a legally registered company (MEI, ME, EPP, or Medium-sized) with an active Tax ID (CNPJ);
- Must be headquartered in Brazil;
- Must have developed one or more entertainment games with original Intellectual Property (IP).
Ineligible to Participate:
- Unregistered companies or those without a Tax ID (CNPJ);
- Studios not headquartered in Brazil;
- Companies working exclusively with outsourcing;
- Non-entertainment projects or those without original IP.
*Companies may work or have worked with outsourcing, provided it is not their exclusive business model.
Affirmative Action Policy:
We value diversity and implement policies to increase the participation of underrepresented groups:
- Additional scoring for companies with leadership or partners who identify as Black, Indigenous, women, transgender, or people with disabilities (PwD).
- Regional Quotas: A minimum of 20% of vacancies are reserved for the North and Northeast regions, and 20% for the South and Midwest regions.
Required Documentation:
- Completed application form;
- Current studio pitch deck including portfolio;
- Studio planning roadmap (2026–2028);
- Letter of intent;
- Optional documents for affirmative action policies (self-declarations).

The Brazil Games Export Program is a non-profit initiative developed by Abragames (Brazilian Game Developers Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). Its mission is to strengthen Brazil’s digital games industry by fostering professional development and creating new international business opportunities for Brazilian companies.

Founded in 2004 by a group of development companies, ABRAGAMES (Brazilian Game Developers Association) was established as a non-profit entity dedicated to strengthening the national game development industry. Abragames‘ mission is to coordinate, bolster, and promote the Brazilian Digital Games Industry through representation and dialogue within both national and international ecosystems. The association works to build a comprehensive understanding of every element in our value chain, while promoting events and partnerships that push the development of the Brazilian gaming industry to the state of the art.

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad and attract foreign investment to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy.
